Carefree Grooves concert a sell-out success

Carefree Grooves Concert

Our benefit concert Carefree Grooves at Ye Olde Rose & Crown on 15 July was a great success — a full-house, all tickets sold and it raised just over £1,400.

We had a wonderful evening of music and poetry, everyone on their feet dancing and having a wonderful time.

A very big thank you to everyone who made the event a success — all those who contributed with their time, skill, creativity, work and money, all the musicians and artists, and a wonderful audience — without them it would not have been possible.

Special thanks to the performers Alex Dayo and Freedom Crown from The Drumming School, Alai Sanfo, Gwang and Carlton Hunter, Ros Kane and National Interest, Michael Forbes and a wonderful compare Kevin Sheils.

And, of course, a very big thanks to the venue, Ye Olde Rose and Crown for offering their room for free and accommodating us on the night, and to all those who donated prizes for the raffle: Tesco’s Leyton, Wilkinson Walthamstow, Waterstones, Walla Walla Bing Bing, and Leyton Orient.
