Carefree Kids wins health and well-being award

Carefree Kids were winners in the 2010 London Borough of Waltham Forest Love Your Borough Awards

Ros Kane accepted the award for the Health and Well-being category from the Olympic gold-medallist, Sally Gunnell.

The award was a welcome recognition of the vital service Carefree Kids continues to make available in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The award acknowledges the role we, at Carefree Kids provide in helping and supporting the emotional well-being of babies, children, teenagers and their parents and carers in Waltham Forest.

This includes the work in schools where there is an available room or providing a mobile therapy play bus when space is limited.

Although our reward is seeing the difference therapeutic play makes to the children our volunteers work with each school year, it was nice to have the support of our borough and local community that this award represents.
