Carefree Kids is a small charity in North East London dedicated to improving the emotional well-being of babies, children, young people, parents and carers. We help children and young people at their schools through weekly one-to-one therapeutic play, art therapy and drama therapy, delivered by trained, supervised volunteers and trainee therapists. We support parents and carers, and are developing a course for teenagers about good parenting.

Our benefit concert Carefree Grooves at Ye Olde Rose & Crown on 15 July was a great success — a full-house, all tickets sold and it raised just over £1,400.
We had a wonderful evening of music and poetry, everyone on their feet dancing and having a wonderful time.

Ten local teenagers recruited through The Challenge — a charity that runs youth and community programmes with the aim of mixing diverse groups of people with each other — raised £338 for Carefree Kids in just a few hours this summer — money that will go towards buying a new laptop for Carefree Kids’ training work.
