Come to the launch of Crying for the Lost Tigers Anthology Saturday 18 March (Free)

Come along to Ye Olde Rose and Crown, Walthamstow on Saturday(¹) 18 March 2017, from 2–4pm for an afternoon of poetry and relaxed enjoyment for the whole family.

The afternoon will mark the launch of Crying for the Lost Tigers, an anthology of winning poems from the inaugural Carefree Kids Poetry Competition held last year. Poets were invited to submit poems on the theme of family relationships and/or the subject of play.

This will be an opportunity to hear winners and entrants to the competition reading their poems.

Copies of the anthology will be available to purchase on the day for £10. All proceeds will go towards supporting the work the charity does within schools, helping children and young people with their emotional difficulties.

This is a FREE event – just turn up on the day! Light refreshments will be served. Children are welcome to attend (the event will take place in the ‘Red Room’, one of the pub’s private rooms).

Generous thanks goes to Ye Olde Rose and Crown, Walthamstow who are letting us use the space for free, and to The Stow Brothers who financed the booklet.

If you have any questions about the event, please email roskane@btinternet.com or saralaestruch@hotmail.com. Alternately, you can call: 020 8555 5248.

Finally, if you are a parent/carer and would be interested in joining a creative writing group in Waltham Forest (venue and time to be confirmed), please email saralaestruch@hotmail.com expressing your interest.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Note 1: The post originally had the wrong day, the event is on Saturday 18 March, not Sunday 18 March. Sorry for any confusion.
