Mayor visits Carefree Kids

The Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Saima Mahmud, visited Carefree Kids on Tuesday 15 March 2016 to learn about the charity’s work.

The Mayor was greeted by Ros Kane, founder of Carefree Kids, and met volunteers Nora Van Deiv Berg and Colin Bilton and staff members, Zalihe Mustafa-Savage and Hildegard Maier.

During the visit the Mayor was shown the new therapeutic play room which was opened this month and has been kindly funded by Grange Farm Centre Trust.

The therapeutic play room will be used for role play learning as well as seeing children and young people, and showing parents how to do filial therapy.

The Mayor’s visit was reported in the Waltham Forest Guardian.
