We’re moving from Bakers’ Arms to our new office:

Unit DA2, Sutherland House, Sutherland Road, Walthamstow, E17 6BU

The new office is in the Higham’s Hill area of Walthamstow, not far from Forest Road and Blackhorse Road.

We’ll be starting the move from middle March and expect to be fully moved in by 20 March. Please bear with us during the move in case there is any disruption.

The new office is a lovely bright and spacious self contained unit in an art deco building which was once a toy factory. The space will give us more flexibility in our working practice.

Car parking

We strongly advise the use of public transport when travelling to Sutherland House.

Please telephone the office before making a journey.

The nearest car is an NCP car park by Blackhorse Road station. This is an approximately 15 minute walk to our office.

Cheaper car parking is available in Walthamstow, but is much further away: Parkopedia.co.uk Walthamstow.

Join Carefree Kids at this year’s Charity Walk for Peace, 29 April 2018

Charity Walk for Peace 2018 graphic

Join us at the fantastic event Charity Walk for Peace, which Carefree Kids was involved in last year. This year the event will be held in Royal Windsor Great Park.

Last year’s event was a lot of fun and there was a wonderful feeling of peace and community.

We would like to invite you to come along to experience this — and if you and your friends and family would like to help us at Carefree Kids to raise funds by completing a simple sponsored walk, do please register by clicking the link below. Funds raised for each charity will be match funded by the walk organisers.

There is also match funding available which means our fundraising efforts would be increased and perhaps even doubled!

This is a very gentle short walk, children and dogs are welcome, there are also refreshments available on the day.

We hope to see you in Windsor this April.

Sainsbury’s Leyton Midland choose us as Charity of the Year

Sainsburys Leyton Midland Charity of the Year

Thank you to Sainsbury’s new Leyton Midland store for choosing us as your charity of the year!

We were at Sainsbury’s Leyton Midland new store opening on Thursday 8 June 2017. Children from George Mitchell Nursery opened the store — it was great fun watching kids from George Mitchell Nursery cut the ribbon!

New arrivals

Dolls in knitted clothes

A big thank you to Joyce Bailey who kindly knitted matching outfits for two of our newly arrived dolls.

The care and detail of the craft has had Carefree Kids staff picking up the dolls in admiration, can you imagine how the children will react?

Thank you graphicJoyce has been knitting items for Carefree Kids for several years and it is much appreciated.
