Support our runners in the Hackney Half Marathon, 19 May 2019

Hackney Half Marathon 2019 help us raise £10000

Hurry: You can still donate to support our runners until 30 June 2019!

Please support the Carefree Kids runners in this year’s Hackney Half Marathon on 19 May 2019.

We’re aiming to raise £10,000 that will be used to help support the emotional and mental wellbeing of children and young people in Waltham Forest and nearby areas.

We will be supporting our team of six runners who have pledged to run like a unicorn.

We have chosen the unicorn as the symbol of our run, as it represents the freedom and magic that comes with self expression and playfulness. It is also a special tribute to the memory of Adam’s wonderful daughter, Eloise 🦄.

Thank you so much for your donation. It makes a massive difference.

Adam, Alex, Geraldine, Graham, Jamie and Jon

The Hackney Half Marathon is part of the Hackney Festival that takes place from 17–19 May.

“We’re aiming to raise £3,000 by the end of June from sponsorship for the Hackney Half. This would cover the costs of recruiting, training and supervising five volunteer therapeutic play facilitators, each of whom would be able to support one or more young people this year.” Adam Land, Chair of Carefree Kids.
